Ubus Past, Present & Future via Email

Subscribe to email communex
From time to time Ubu Projex distributes an email communex concerning Pere Ubu and any related activities. Read the
policy. We no longer do mail-outs. If you want to be put on this list
email us. A Name and Nation in the body of the text would be useful but is not necessary.
Supplying a "Nation" allows us to direct concert date info more specifically.

- Pere Ubu Foundation A Yahoo "club" - a newsgroup, chatroom, photo links, etc. Not an official site but run by a trusted fan.
- Ubu Dance Party A French language website devoted to Pere Ubu. Home of the most extensive and accurate discography currently available. There is an associated discussion group, for French speakers, at http://fr.groups.yahoo.com/group/ubudance. Not an official site but run by a trusted fan.

Communex Policy
If you
ask we will put you on our email mailing list. From time to time we email Ubu Communex editions. You may find these unsatisfactory. We don't volunteer information beyond the basics. It's one of the fundamental principles on which our art is based. (We watched The Prisoner too much at too young an age.) We answer questions. If you ask questions and the answers are interesting then we are liable to post some or all of the "conversation" at our web site.
Note that the Ubu Projex site is the prime source of useful information. The communex has another purpose. It serves to announce concert dates, new releases, and unique events. Some subscribers have objected to our use of the service to "merchandise." This may be confused thinking. It's not merchandise. It's called music. Jim Jones and David Thomas operate our mail order service,
Ubutique. They're not exactly pushy about it. Still, we have this odd notion that the people who want to hear our music should be able to acquire the means to hear our music. When we run across stocks of out of print records or add new records to our service we let you know. If you're going to get upset about the occasional announcement of a new record or the availability of newly stocked Ubu or Ubu-related items then please don't subscribe. We do not give anyone access to our email list.
